Entre la vie

Vie, in between life.

The dance of letting go

Recently, I’ve experimented with fashion content creation with a different account, and I find a strange relief in saying I’m giving it up. There is something I wish to express. Often, we are urged to persist, to push through the barriers. Yet, this relentless drive can be a poison, whispering that perseverance is the sole path to worthiness. After this experience, if I could offer a piece of wisdom, it would be this: embark on your journey, feel its rhythm, and listen not to the external cacophony but to your inner melody. It is entirely acceptable to let go of a pursuit if it does not resonate within you. What is not acceptable is to shy away from trying altogether.

This journey has unveiled to me the contours of my comfort, the hues that align with my essence, and, most strikingly, the shades that do not. As we dance in rhythm with the ever-expanding universe, we continually discover the things that evoke warmth and authenticity within us. Pursue these tender whispers of the heart, my sweet soul, for they hold your true north. External success is hollow if it does not echo within your inner sanctum. It is a noble act to step away from what does not serve you.

I wish I had known sooner that surrender is not synonymous with failure. For in truth, surrendering one pursuit for another that better aligns with your being is a daily dance of choices we all perform.

We give up the dawn’s silence for the bustle of the day, the familiar pages of an old book for the uncharted stories of a new one. We give up the comfort of solitude for the embrace of companionship, the certainty of routine for the thrill of adventure. Each relinquishment is not a failure but a step closer to our truest selves.

Embrace this dance, this delicate balance of holding on and letting go. For it is in these moments of surrender that we find the spaces where we truly belong.
